AA is apparently mission driven. It looks like it would be fun for at least awhile.

Keep in mind these titles are from a one man programming operation. He's been developing both series over a period of years, and they are apparently rather well done considering it's not a high dollar dev team.

Another recent title of possible interest is Wing Commander Saga. As I understand it, it is a mod of the last version of the FreeSpace engine. Probably less "Newtonian" on the control scheme. Of course, it has the classic Wing Commander space opera incorporated. No, I haven't played that either.

With MechWarrior Online on the near horizon, I'm mostly looking forward towards that, and contemplating whether I'll dog off Eve Online playing completely for some extended period of time.
